Wakeley and Toms was formed in 1957 by Gordon Toms and John Wakeley. They started out from a small workshop in Stewart Road, Bournemouth eventually moving to our present premises in Southcote Road during the harsh winter of 1963.
Gordon’s son Steve took over the day to day running of the business in 1984 and continues to do so.

We can produce old style windows and doors for Conservation areas and listed Buildings or quality double glazed windows and doors for more modern properties.
Our machine shop can produce bespoke architrave and skirtings to match your profiles, so if you are missing a section of skirting or picture rail let us machine a new piece for you. We can produce any quantity required from a metre to a thousand metres.
Using our well equipped machine shop and joinery facilities we can produce anything from a single casement sash or a length of skirting board to a house full of wooden windows or a new conservatory in many different types of Softwood or Hardwood.
Conservation and listed Building work is a speciality. We can match the old style mouldings on doors, windows, architrave’s and other items. We work closely with Local Authority’s to ensure compliance with regulations.
